Cycling in and around De Panne

De Panne is the westernmost resort in Belgium, where you can cycle straight from the promenade into the woods, the dunes or France.

• Cycling through the woods: the Calmeynbos is a dune forest of about 66 hectares that lends itself to a bike or mountain bike ride.
• Hire a bike: the bike hire shops are mainly on the promenade, close to the beach.
• Across the border: the junction network takes you easily to Bray-Dunes and the French dune areas.
• Wild nature: the nature reserves around De Panne are among the wildest on the Belgian coast.

Bicycle hire

De Panne has 3 bike hire shops, most of them on the Zeedijk.

• On the promenade: Fietsverhuur Arizona Xtra and Roger are on the Zeedijk; Arizona is a few hundred metres from the Statue of King Leopold I.
• Next door: Rodeo Fietsverhuur is in neighbouring Koksijde.
• Book in time: during holidays and on fine weekends rental bikes run out quickly, so reserve in advance.
